No concerns like this have been raised elsewhere. The anonymous claims in this article are not justified and can all be addressed with the correct training and knowledge of the equipment involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">In the last few weeks, the EpiShuttle has been used to transport numerous covid-19 patients, many of whom have been seriously ill and intubated during transport. EpiGuard\u2019s medical team is in close dialogue with our customers worldwide. We have not registered any problems with either fixation or use of oxygen with the operators that use the EpiShuttle. \u201cOxygen build-up has not been any problem with our use of the EpiShuttle, and with the ventilation port it is easy to avoid excessive oxygen inside. We do not fear any hazards due to oxygen, and the risk is considered to be negligible\u201d, says Jens Kl\u00fcver, Major and Medical Director, No. 330 Squadron RNoAF, the Royal Norwegian Air Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">Ambulance personnel learn in their professional training that high oxygen concentration should always be monitored and the EpiShuttle has been rigorously tested and approved according to the European standard for ambulances, and CE-marked as a Class 1 medical device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">With the EpiShuttle, healthcare professional\u2019s safety is the top priority. The EpiShuttle keeps the patient absolutely isolated, providing safer transport, for patients and medical professionals. Through a thorough and risk-focused development process, any risks associated with high oxygen concentration are mitigated by several solutions and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">The device\u2019s ventilation sets a limit for how much oxygen is allowed to be administered freely in the device and to avoid any dangerous concentrations. If more oxygen is needed, a special ventilation port channels all oxygen-enriched air to and from the patient, leaving only air inside the device. This is actually safer than when oxygen is administered to a patient in a normal ambulance where accumulation around the patient might occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">The material in the EpiShuttle hull is fire resistant, graded V-0 in the UL94 system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">We respect and appreciate that the NHS has high safety standards, and their thorough work on implementing the EpiShuttle into their healthcare system and procedures. We are in close dialogue with the NHS and are confident that any concerns they may have will be resolved. The EpiShuttle represents a highly useful solution for the transport of contagious patients in the UK healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">The EpiShuttle is in service with
