In April this year, the first suspected cases of a new Ebola outbreak were reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As of May 24, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"www.who.int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Health Organisation <\/a>(WHO) reports at least 54 cases, including 23 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">EpiGuard are very proud to now be a part of the Norwegian Government&#8217;s contribution to <a href=\"https:\/\/ekergroup.dev07.dekodes.no\/epiguard\/norwegian-government-contributes-to-ebola-response-in-dr-congo\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ekergroup.dev07.dekodes.no\/epiguard\/norwegian-government-contributes-to-ebola-response-in-dr-congo\/\">help control the outbreak in Congo<\/a>. Three EpiShuttles will be provided to the WHO to help ensure safe isolation and transportation of patients in the region. We will also provide training and a number of disposable kits to ensure safe usage in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">The first EpiShuttles are being sent this week and we have dedicating existing stock to support the situation in DRC. In parallel, we are working with our supply chain to reduce delivery time for new devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">While we are working hard to respond quickly to this specific crisis, it is, of course, better to have the response ready and stock in place before a critical situation arises.
